2015-16 high school winter sports begin / Pokes football ends season with a victory / Broncos take down New England in OT

HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS - The 2015-16 high school winter sports season begins today with opening practice for basketball, wrestling and boys swimming and diving.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will open their season at a three day tournament in Riverton starting December 10th.

The Broncs don't have a home game until January 15th when they open conference play. The Lady Broncs will play one home game before January that will be December 18th against Billings West.

Both teams have game at the Energy classic tournament in Gillette Sunday December 27th.

The Bronc wrestlers open their season with a dual in Worland December 10th and compete in the Rapid City invitational on the 11th and 12th.

Their first home matches will be January 2nd when they host the Border War duals with the big three schools from Billings.

The Bronc swimmers open their season in Gillette December 11th and 12th.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept all four games at the Sheridan Lions club tournament at the Hoffman dome.

Both teams will play at home again this weekend host the Sheridan Classic tournament game times will be at 5:00 and 7:00 both Friday and Saturday.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football cowboys ended their season with a 35-28 win over UNLV the Pokes end the season 2-10 overall.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball cowboys beat Montana state Saturday night and have won two straight.

The Pokes play at Denver University Wednesday night, you can hear the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio pregame is at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat UC Santa Barbara 76-67 and have won four of their first five games.

They play at road game at Gonzaga Thursday broadcast time is at 6:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos knocked off the New England Patriots in Sunday night football 30-24 in overtime, CJ Anderson won the game on a 48 yard touchdown run. This week the Broncos go on the road to play at San Diego.
