HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team hits the field today for the first time as the 2011 season opens the Broncs had their annual mountain leadership camp Thursday and Friday Head coach Don Julian says it went well.

The Sheridan high school booster club had their booster club golf tournament Saturday and Julian says it was a big hit this year.

The Bronc player / parent meeting was held last night Julian says it's the last thing they get done before tasking the field.

The Broncs hit the field for "Two a Days" this morning and they'll hit the ground running.

They open at home against Cheyenne Central on the 26th.

The Big Horn rams, Tongue River Eagles and the NSI Wolves football programs will all open their two a day camp a week from today.

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - Sheridan high school volleyball coach Wendi Ruby has announced the Lady Broncs will host their one-day youth volleyball camp August 20th this youth one day camp will include instruction with the Lady Bronc team.

The camp will be held at Sheridan high school August 20th, registration is being taken at the Sheridan county YMCA. The cost to pre register for the camp is 20 dollars or 25 dollars the day of the camp.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Cheyenne Post 6 went out of the northwest regional baseball tournament in Billings in two games. They lost their opener to Bellingham, Washington 9-4 and were eliminated Saturday morning by the Billings Royals 19-13.

Two teams remain in the bracket, Waipahu, Hawaii is unbeaten the Billings Scarlets have one loss. The title game is at 1:00 this afternoon another game would follow if the Scarlets win the first game.

The Wyoming American legion all-state teams have been announced from the Sheridan Troopers Issac Carrel and Lucas Giesey made the first team.

Skyler Dietsche and Drew Adriaens made the 2nd team. Cheyenne led the all-state list with seven selections.
