BIG HORN MOUNTAIN TRAIL RUN - Over 700 participated the the annual Big Horn mountain wild and scenic trail run over the weekend.

Here are the results from this year's event. In the 100 mile race Zach Miller was the overall winner covering the 100 mile distance in an impressive time of 19:13:09 the course record is 18:43:37 set a year ago.

Evan Honeyfield from Idaho Falls won the 50 mile race , Patrick Garcia from Denver won the 50k and Todd Blythe from from Colstrip too the 30k.

Seth Stadick from Sheridan was 3rd in the 30k and Darci Arsene from Sheridan finished the 100 mile race 11th overall and was 2nd in her age division.

The 2012 Big Horn mountain wild and scenic trail run will be held June 15th through 18th.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers kept their roll going over the weekend at a tournament in Spearfish, South Dakota they had wins over Chadron, Nebaska, Torrington and Miles City, Montana

This week they have road games in Cheyenne and Scottsbluff and Gering, Nebraska , they play in Cheyenne Wednesday before heading to Nebraska on Friday and Saturday.

The next home date will be a double header with Casper on Monday June 27th.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestling camp will be held this week at Sheridan high school.

The 2011 bronc camp is open to all wrestlers from the 6th through 12th grades and will be held in the wrestling room at Sheridan high school today, tomorrow and Wednesday.

The camp will run in the evening for the junior high wrestlers from 5:00 to 7:30 and for the high school wrestlers from 5:00 to 8:30. They will take registration tonight before the first session opens.

REC DISTIRCT - Kendrick pool is up and running for the summer opening day was delayed a few days because of weather but Sheridan Recreation district specialist Nick Dore says they had a great opening day.

Along with providing summer fun the Rec district also offers swimming lessons all summer as well.

Dore will also be running a late summer rec district annual event as the the annual JD Mullinax tennis tournament will be played in early August registration starts in a week.
