Weekend Local sports wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams combined to go 6-1 in Cheyenne at the McDonalds classic tournament the Lady Broncs went 4-0 to go to 8-1 on the season the broncs went 2-1 and are 5-3 overall.

The Lady Broncs dominated Wyoming teams Green River and Rock Springs and whipped two Colorado schools from Fort Collins and Grand Junction.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school teams swept games from Green River Thursday in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs started slow but went on an 18-0 run in the 3rd quarter and blew out the Wolves 57-21 Robbi Ryan led the way with 20 points, Dylan Wright had 15 and Kaycen Townsend had 14.

They picked up an extra game and will play Grand Junction, Colorado this morning and tonight the will play Rock Springs we will have that game live for you at 5:00 on KWYO.

Wyoming hangs on to beat Colorado State 60-54

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Larry Nance Jr. scored 15 points, Jason McManamen hit a key 3-pointer with 23 seconds left and Wyoming outlasted Colorado State 60-54 Wednesday night.

Charles Hankerson Jr. and Josh Adams chipped in 13 points apiece for the Cowboys (14-2, 3-0 Mountain West). Nance and Adams each grabbed six rebounds and Adams dished out five assists.

J.J. Avila finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and four steals for Colorado State (14-2, 1-2), which dropped its second straight after opening the season 14-0.
