1-A/2-A Regional hoops / SHS splits in Gillette / state swimming & wrestling

1-A / 2-A REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada/Clearmont basketball teams continue regional tournament play today with state tournament seeding games today.

In the girls 2-A east bracket the Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Lady Rams met in one semi final Friday night the Lady Eagles beat the Lady Rams 57-43.

The Lady Eagles play Southeast today for the regional title. The Lady Rams face and elimination game against Sundance.

The Tongue River boys played a loser-out game with Moorcroft and stayed alive winning 54-51 the Eagles play Southeast in a loser-out game today.

The Rams played Pine Bluffs in the semi finals and beat the Hornets 47-42 they play Lusk for the regional title tonight.

The Arvada/Clearmont teams both faced elimination games the Lady Panthers beat Guernsey 37-31 and play Hulett today in a loser-out game.

The Panther's season came to a close with a 69-31 loss against Lingle.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs and Lady Broncs played in Gillette last night to end the regular season the Lady Broncs beat Gillette 73-63 in overtime to claim the regular season conference title they open the regional tournament in the semi finals next Friday in Cheyenne.
The Broncs lost 77-58 and will be the three seed going into the regional tournament they will play Cheyenne Central next Thursday night at 8:30 in an elimination game.

STATE WRESTLING - The all-class state wrestling championships got started Friday in Casper after day one the Broncs sit in second place behind Gillette the Broncs have five wrestlers in tonight's finals.

STATE SWWIMMERS - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers are competing at the 4-A swimming and diving championships in Gillette the finals are today.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals open their region nine tournament tonight at 6:00 in Sterling, Colorado against Otero JC from La Juanta, Colorado.

The Lady Generals play Lamar CC tomorrow night at 7:00 the women's region nine tourney is being played in Rock Springs.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play Boise state at home this afternoon tip off is at 4:00 live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.
