BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs enter week two of pre-season drills week one went pretty well head coach Don Julian. One area of concern coming into this season was going to be the offensive line Julian says that group had a good
first week. The strongest unit returning this season is at the skill positions and as expected they had lots of good reps
last week and now they head into the second week how willpractice change. The Broncs open the regular season August 28th at home against Casper Kelly Walsh.

HS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams begin “Two a days” today at the Sheridan softball complex at Sheridan college they are building a new school at Bighorn so the Rams have lost their practice and game field so they will work out at the college the Tongue River Eagles open their new football facility at the new high school.

HS FALL SPORTS - Sheridan high school volleyball team has two a days all week the Lady Broncs go from 6:30 to 8:30 in the morning and 5:30 to 7:30 in the evening. the Sheridan high school tennis players start at 6:30 this morning and 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers open at 10 am the Sheridan high school cross country runners begin each day this week at 8 am and Lady Bronc swimmers and divers have one work out today at 4:30 and start two a days tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB - On August 25th the Sheridan high school booster club hosts the annual fall kick BBQ at the high school beginning at 5:30 pm following the meal all the coaches with the exception of football will hold their parent meetings in the high school at 7 pm all athletes and parents need to be at those meetings.

HIGH GOAL POLO - This Saturday the Flying “H” Polo club will hold their season finale with the Flying “H” Championship cup it begins Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

NFL - The Denver Broncos lost their pre-season opener at San Francisco 17-16 it was a horrible night for quarterback Kyle Orton, Orton threw three interceptions in the loss back up Chris Simms played better and threw a touchdown pass next up for the Broncos is a road game at Seattle Saturday night you can hear the game live on am 14-10 KWYO broadcast time is 5:30.

NCAA FOOTBALL - The Wyoming cowboys enter week three of training camp Marty English was the only holder over from the Joe Glenn era to stay on the coaching staff English will be the pokes defensive coordinator and says while the Wyoming offense transitions in the “Spread”system with new head coach Dave Christensen's the defense will be the anchor of the team in the early season The Pokes open at home September 5th against Weber state.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies split a double header with Florida yesterday and took two out of three from the Marlins they are five games behind the Dodgers in the National league west and lead the NL wild card by a game and a half over San Francisco they are off today before starting a three game series at the Washington nationals tomorrow.

TRACK AND FIELD - Usain Bolt of Jamaica broke his own world record in the men's 100 meters at the world championships of track and field yesterday in Berlin. Bolt shattered his old record by 11-hundreths of a second with a breath taking run of 9.58 seconds American Tyson Gay was second and set a new American 100 meter record at 9.71 seconds.
