The annual Big horn mountain wild and scenic trail run gets underway tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock with the start of the 100 mile race. Race director Michelle Maneval says entires for this year's race continue to stay strong and Maneval says the local runner numbers continue to grow each year.Among the competitors in the 100 mile race Maneval says a hand full are here for one thing and that's to win while the rest of field use the race as a personal challenge.Finally Maneval says there is no way they could pull off this event without the help of the volunteers. Again the 100 milers start tomorrow with the 50 mile 50k and 30k races starting Saturday morning. The event culminates with an awards breakfast on Grinnell plaza Sunday morning. Tomorrow we will continue our preview of this year's race.

In local baseball notes the Sheridan Troopers will play at home Saturday afternoon against the Billings Lobos the double header will start at 1 o'clock.

Kendrick golf course and the Sheridan country club will host a two day two person best ball tournament this weekend. The tournament is the 1st annual Peggy Buss memorial to benefit the cancer foundation they will have both men's and women's divisions. The1st round will be played at Kendrick Saturday and 2nd round will be played at the country club for more information contact Kathy Oatts at 672-2732 or Donna Madia at 672-5966.

The Colorado Rockies played game two of their three game series against Tampa Bay last night. Tuesday the Rays hammered the Rockies 12-4 last night the Rockies took game two 5-3 rockies short stop Troy Tulowitzki hit a three run homer as the Rocks have won 12 of their last 13 games. The third game of the series takes place today at Coors field the Rockies currently sit in third place in the national league western division 10 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
