The Sheridan Troopers had their double header with Spearfish South Dakota rained out last night they'll make those games up at a later date. The troopers played a double header with Douglas in their last games on Saturday when they split a pair. Tomorrow are set to head over to Cody for road games.
The next Trooper home games will be Saturday afternoon when they host two with the Billings Lobos.

In local track and field notes three Lady Bronc runners and one Bronc runner competed in the Golden West meet in California this past weekend. The Broncs' Dylan Morin ran in the 3200 meters and Stephanie Brown ran in the 800 meters. Lela Carpenter and Dana Morin finished 3rd and 4th in the 3200.This was an invitational meet all athletes had to meet qualifying standards to be able to compete.

In other running events this week the annual Big horn mountain wild and scenic trail run gets underway Friday morning at 6 o'clock with the start of the 100 mile race the 50 mile, 50k and 30k races will start Saturday morning. The finish line is Scott park in Dayton the elite 100 milers will begin finishing early Saturday morning with the bulk of the field finishing during the afternoon Saturday. Race organizer Michelle Maneval says this trail run has evolved into a big time event.there are a few good spots to view the action one is at the finish line Saturday.and if you'd like a little walk yourself there are two more good spotsto watch.Maneval says f there are opportunities for hikers to get to a couple of aid stations as well. The event ends Sunday morning with an awards breakfast on Grinnell plaza.

Kendrick golf course and the Sheridan country club will host a two day two person best ball tournament this weekend. The tournament is the 1st annual Peggy Buss memorial to benefit the cancer foundation they will have both men's and women's divisions. The 1st round will be played at Kendrick Saturday and 2nd round will be played at the Sheridan country club for more information contact Kathy Oatts at 672-2732 or Donna Madia at 672-5966.
