The Milking is Over - Time to put the Cows Away

Perhaps cowboy Chris Sorenson is thinking about picking up a 6-pack of Bud before getting into his Hammer Chevrolet Pickup to listen to 93.7 "Coyote Country" on his way home where he will catch up on the news listening to KROE at 930 on the dial before turning on his computer to see his picture on Sheridan Media. Actually it is Chris Sorenson who just participated in the final event, Wild Cow Milking, at the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo on Sunday afternoon. Chris didn't win the Wild Cow Milking contest but apparently he did earn the honors of herding the participating cows past several of the sponsor's signs and through the gate to conclude this years county rodeo. Chris and 150 others showcased their abilities to tie, mug, rope, ride and yes, milk wild cows on the track and in the arena during the 31st Annual Sheridan County Rodeo. The awards ceremony and supper will be held on Saturday, August 20th at the Fairground's Exhibit Hall starting at 6:00 pm.
