Eatons' Annual Horse Drive

Posted in

At 9:48 am Sunday morning and close to schedule the annual Eatons' Horse Drive of over 100 horses passed under Interstate 90 and past the "City of Sheridan - Entrance to Historic District" sign as they headed down East 5th Street into Sheridan. In 1904 the Eaton brothers moved from North Dakota to the present ranch location on Wolf Creek west of Sheridan. Each year the dude ranching season is kicked off with the annual horse drive that goes through Sheridan to the ranch some 30 minutes away on horseback.
