John “Jack” Sorvik, 86, of Sheridan, passed on Saturday, May 25, 2019, peacefully at his home with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born on May 18, 1933, in Jamestown, ND to parents Harold Eppesgard and Nina (Byington) Sorvik. He moved to Sheridan in 1943. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1951 and attended Sheridan College when it was at the Girls School.

A celebration of the life of Margaret Gilbert, 92-year-old Buffalo resident, who passed away Thursday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held by her family later this summer. Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Funeral services for Steve Steiner, 74-year-old Buffalo man who passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home in Buffalo, will be held Saturday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel.

Roger Kelly, 78, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at his residence.

Dr. Jim Hansen on May 19, 2019, passed away at his home In Richland, WA surrounded by family.
Dr. Jim Hansen will be remembered in a celebration of life at Elinan’s at Sunset Garden in Richland, WA on May 28, 2019, at 7:30 at the event center with a reception to follow. A memorial in Sheridan later this summer.

McBride, 76 year old Sheridan and former Buffalo resident who passed away Monday evening at his home in Sheridan following a courageous battle with cancer, will be held Wednesday, May 29th at 10:00 a.m. from the Union Congregational Church in Buffalo with Reverend Dr. Bob Miller officiating. Visitation will be at the Harness Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services for Mary Lou Schoonover, 88-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away suddenly Tuesday, at her home in Buffalo, will be held Friday, May 24th at 11:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Joe Lansidel officiating. A gathering will follow at the American Legion Hall Post #13 in Buffalo.

James Marlin Epp was born on October 10, 1973, in Salinas, CA. When James was born it was obvious to doctors that something was wrong and shortly after we were told he had Downs Syndrome. The doctors said he'd never be able to do much and should be institutionalized. Books said he would be a very placid child. Boy, were they ever wrong.
