Maureen Pearl (Feickert) Mitzel died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019, in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was 90 years old.

Funeral services for Mildred Hellwig, 90-year-old Sheridan resident who passed away Tuesday evening at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana, will be held Monday, March 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, with Terri Foster and Kara Schuebel officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Charles E. Dexter, 83, of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the Westview Health Care Center.

Funeral services for Jim Corell, 90-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday, March 15th at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Bob Ruby officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo with graveside services to be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

John E. Seymour, died on February 15, 2019, in Sheridan, at age 76, with his loving son, Derek at his side. John was born in Streator, Illinois on November 6, 1942, to John D. and Erma L. Seymour.

Funeral services for Sunny Irvine Taylor, 69-year-old longtime Kaycee resident who passed away suddenly Tuesday at her winter home in Wickenburg, Arizona, will be held Wednesday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harrold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Reverend Carol Buckingham officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo from 1:00 p.m.

Crickett Ann Volmer of Laramie, 23, passed away March 5, 2019, in Laramie, Wyoming. Born July 27, 1995, to Jay and Becky Volmer in Sheridan, Wyoming. Though being the younger sibling, she was fiercely loyal to her older brother, Buster.

A celebration of the life of Gene Christensen, 87-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday at his home north of Buffalo, surrounded by his family, will be held at a date to be announced this summer. Donations in Gene’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Ruth I. Watkins, born December 15, 1934, in Prinsburg, MN. Her daughter was at her side as she was taken into the arms of her Savior on February 25, 2019. Her parents were John and Rena Korthuis and she was the youngest of 13 children.

Betty J. Olson, 92, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Westview Health Care Center. She was born on October 8, 1926, in Detroit, MI, to parents Hilary and Bessie Sadler. She graduated on September 4, 1947, from Grace Hospital of Nursing in Detroit. She worked at the VA Hospital in McKinney, TX, and Sheridan, WY.

Jan Flaharty, of Sheridan, passed away at home on February 20, 2019 surrounded by family, after a nine-month battle with glioblastoma mulitforme. Jan said often during the almost nine months he lived with cancer that he was grateful he was to transition this way because it gave him time to tell his family how much he loved and appreciated them.

Ron Livengood, of Sheridan, was born in Powell, Wyoming on December 17, 1946, to Charles and Ava (Hede) Livengood. He passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019. Ron had lived in Sheridan for the past twenty years and suffered serious health problems during that time.

Audrey “Joan Kelley” Sales, 92, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with her granddaughter, Toni Kelley by her side. She was born in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England to Alfred and Lillian Cook. Her father was a fisherman and her mother was a homemaker. The Cooks had four daughters, Florence, Edith, Doris and Audrey.

Arthur W. Elkins, one of the pillars of our community, passed away on February 20, 2019 at the Mountain View Living Center at the VA hospital. Art Elkins served as City Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Sheridan for 36 years. His life was full of service to his country, his community, his church, and his family. He will be greatly missed.
