Betty Reichert was born May 13, 1932, in Dayton, Wyoming to Opal Y. Ratcliff and Paris W. Ratcliff. Betty Spent the vast majority of her life in Dayton, Wyoming with brief stints in Alaska in the 1960s to support her husband’s work. She was one of seven children in her family. At age twelve, she was the youngest member of the all-female volunteer fire department in Dayton during World War II.

Barbara DeFries, 74, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at her residence.

Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Earl “Tom” Martin passed away Friday morning November 8, 2019 at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Tom was born February 14, 1943, in Powell, Wyoming to Earl and Lucille Martin.

Steven George Will, 73, son of the late Stephen E. and Dorothy (Hepp) Will was born November 16, 1945 in Sheridan WY. Steve attended public schools and was a graduate of Sheridan High School’s class of 1964. His childhood was filled with ranch life duties on the family dairy farm, athletics and active family gatherings with Sheridan and Buffalo relatives.

After a long and experience rich life, Arlene Walker, age 89, passed to her next destiny on the 7th of November, 2019. Arlene was born on February 26, 1930 in Gresham, Oregon, the only child of Mildred Deshazer Hanson and Raymond Hanson.

Alice Claire Sholine passed away peacefully on November 2, 2019, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

John V. McGuire, 65, of Gillette, passed away on November 3, 2019, in Sheridan.

Funeral services for Ernest L. Vawter, 86 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Friday at Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, will be held Tuesday, November 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buffalo with Bishop Don Hilton presiding. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with military graveside services to follow the funeral.

Graveside funeral services for Mary McIntyre, 86 year old former Buffalo resident who passed away September 15th in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, will be held Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 in Willow Grove Cemetery with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. Services were also held in Bartlesville at the First Wesleyan Church.

LeRoy Weaver, 76, set sail from this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019 during emergency heart surgery at the Billings Clinic, MT. He was born December 14, 1942 in Ellis, KS to Celestine John Weaver and Jeanne Marie Ingram. He graduated from Ellis High School in 1960 and joined the Navy where he achieved the rank of Yoeman First Class (YN1).

Robert Duane Kautz, 84, of Sheridan, WY, passed away early Monday morning, October 28, 2019, at Mountain View Living Center on the Sheridan VA campus.
He was born May 16, 1935, to Henry, Jr., and Ethel (Slaughterbeck) Kautz Marshall in Gering, NE. After moving with his family to California, where he grew up, he returned to Nebraska to graduate from Gering High School in 1954.

On Sunday, October 13, 2019, Christopher John Bugher, much loved son, grandson, brother, nephew, and uncle passed away. This happened peacefully, in his sleep, at his apartment, at the age of 38.

Steven Joseph Hoyer, 63, of Big Horn, WY passed away at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital on October 24th, 2019. He was born on August 1st 1956, to Donald and Shirley Hoyer. Steve graduated from Sheridan High School in 1975, then earned an associate of Science in Engineering. After graduation, Steve took a job as a pit de-water technician at Decker Coal Mine.
