Richard Marion Torrens was born on March 13, 1936 in Willmore, Kansas to Elmer Torrens and Margaret (Wood) Torrens. He was the second child of 4 born to Elmer and Margaret. In 1941 in order to make for better opportunities the family came to Wyoming as Kansas was in the heart of the dust bowl. The family started out in a dugout near the Rozette/ Moorcroft area before settling in Sheridan.

A private family graveside service for May Chabot, 91 year old Kaycee resident who passed away at Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, will be held Wednesday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, with Bob Ruby officiating. James “Jim” Salstrom, 91, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Sheridan, WY to August and Dorothy (Toy) Salstrom on August 18, 1927. He joined the Coast Guard during World War II. He married Loretta Gabor on June 6, 1977.

Mary grew up in Fort Collins with 7 brother and sisters.

Funeral services for Wally Betz, 77 year old Buffalo resident who passed away suddenly Monday morning at his home in Buffalo, will be held Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Mike Lavato officiating. We are sad to announce the passing of Carol “Joan” Webster, a resident of Sheridan, Wyoming. Joan entered this world on January 14, 1947. She was born to Idell (Duke) Crall and Lloyd Crall in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was the middle of four children. While Kansas State Teacher’s College, she met Robert Webster and they married on June 11, 1967. She had two children, Robert and Jason.

Mass of Christian Burial for Jacqueline Rose Perry, 91-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Monday morning at Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, will be celebrated Saturday, December 8th at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Peter Johnson as celebrant. A vigil service will be held, and the Rosary recited, on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Marlow “Moe” Allen Madson passed away Friday December 7, 2018, at his residence. Moe was the second son of Arnold and Mildred, he was born in Meeker County Minnesota, and moved to Seattle Washington in 1949.

Richard (Dick) Lee Shelton was born May 5, 1935 in Sheridan, WY and passed away December 4, 2018 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He is proceeded in death by his parents Dale and Evelyn Shelton. Dick grew up out on a dairy farm in Big Goose. He was a member of the 4H Club. After graduating from high school Dick enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 2 years in the Korean War.

Henry Joseph Lupiezowietz, 86, peacefully passed away December 1st, surrounded by his family, at Mountain View Living Center at Fort Mackenzie. Hank was born in Sheridan to Polish immigrants Joseph Lupiezowietz and Johanna Boyko Lupiezowietz. He will be remembered as a loving son, devoted husband, dedicated father, grand and great grandfather, loyal friend, and friendly stranger.
