Former long-time Sheridan resident Barbara Zowada passed away on July 4 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Rickie “Rick” Leon Beld, 71, of Big Horn, WY, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sheridan, WY.

William Horace Porter, Sr., 89, of Sheridan, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Sheridan VA Medical Center. A long-time resident of Sheridan, he was born in Douglas, Wyoming on August 24, 1928 to John T. and Clementine Goon Porter.

Margaret M. (Peg) Lauffer, 101 years old, died peacefully on June 30, 2018, at Whitney Cottage, Green House Living, in Sheridan. Born May 16, 1917, to Arthur William and Emma Jane Stewart in Seward, Nebraska, Peg had one younger brother, Roger Ashton Stewart. The two were orphaned when Peg was 11 and Roger 9, when their parents died six months apart.

Jean S. Muller, 89, Buffalo, WY, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, MT.

Gloria Jean (Hay) Hogelund, 91, of Buffalo, WY died June 21, 2018 following a brief illness. Gloria was born January 16, 1927 in Kansas City, KS to Elmer and Gertrude Hay and sister Dorothy. Like many of her generation, she graduated from high school early to help with the war effort.

Funeral services for Scott Ludwig, 74 year old long time Story and Sheridan County resident who passed away suddenof natural causes Monday morning in the Big Horn Mountains, will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Sheridan with Father Stephen Aaron officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Mr.

Joe McNeil Wetherington, the only son of Johnnie and Delilah (Stewart) Wetherington was born October 20, 1932 in New Bern of Craven County North Carolina. Joe was a husband, father, an American military veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, a diesel and aircraft mechanic, truck driver, and a man of God who taught others the true value of living life.

Tupelo (Stephen) Kenyon, a loving husband and loyal friend, left on his final journey at 4:44 am, June 22, 2018 in his home in Story, after a bout with cancer.
He was quick to laugh, easy to love, and funny as all get out.

Sarah Cousins passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her son Taylor Brow (Cheyenne, WY), sister Patricia Reynolds (Portland, OR) and her brother Peter Cousins (Goshen, NY).

Ernest “Kent” Higgs, 75, passed away at Sheridan Memorial June 23, 2018. Kent was
born in Pueblo, CO on February 19, 1943. Kent was an Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed
hunting, target shooting, dancing and was an avid dart player for many years.
Kent is proceeded in death by his parents Ernest an Lucille Higgs of Kansas, his
brother Keith Higgs and his stepson Andrew Miller.

Andrew Wallace “Wally” Black, 91, of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He was born May 9, 1927 in Lead, South Dakota to David and Louise (McKean) Black. Wally graduated from Crawford, Nebraska High School in 1945.

Jeanne Carmen McKinney Goodman, 86, of Sheridan passed away on June 21, 2018.

On Sunday, June 24,, 2018, Patricia Ann Husted peacefully passed away in her home located in Sheridan, WY. We were blessed with 72 years of knowing “Pat” as a hard-working mother, a caring sister, and a loving grandmother. She was born on March 1, 1946, in Plankinton, SD to Francis and Marie Lutz. She married the love of her life, Sherman Clark Husted, on October 12, 1962.

Mass of Christian Burial for Pat Marton, 91 year old long time Buffalo resident who passed away Saturday evening at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be celebrated Wednesday, June 27th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as celebrant.
