Leo Angus Woodbury, 79 year old Johnson County rancher, passed away quietly October 19 at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, October 25th at 1:00 p.m. at the Brian and Rita Long Ranch at 924 Trabing Road (formerly the Woodbury Ranch). A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Shawne Paul Newman, 31, of Gillette, formerly Sheridan, died on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life for Shawne will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Lee officiating.

Rolland Curtis of Sheridan passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Westview Healthcare Center.

Rolland was born September 28, 1931, to Albert A. and Irva (Blood) Curtis in Rochester, MN. He had six sisters and five brothers.

Leah K. Shaw, 70, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the family ranch near Decker, MT. She was born on September 30, 1947, in Sheridan, WY, to parents Harvey A. and Fra Dooley Porter. She was raised in Decker, MT and attended K - 8th grade at the Pine Butte School.

Joel Warren Deeble, 90, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at the Sheridan VA Mountain View Living Center.

Joel was born on October 25, 1926 to parents Joel W. and Edna Mae (Scoggins) Deeble in Lead, S.D. He was the third child of four and the only son. He loved growing up in Lead, hiking and picking berries in the Black Hills .

Gregory David Coleman, 46, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at his residence.

Greg was born on December 12, 1970 to parents David Coleman and Mary Kagie in Laramie, WY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, fixing things, and was a great handyman. He loved taking his son to the mountains to spend time with him.

Kenneth Switzer, 93, previously of Sheridan, passed away on July 18, 2017, in Ojai, CA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hovestol officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A Reception will follow in the Kane Reception Hall.

Ruth Eileen (Ferguson) Corley passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 11, 2017, at 8:21 a.m. At the age of 89, she was a long time member of the Sheridan Community. Ruth was born to David Dow Ferguson and Bessie Gladys (Conklin) Ferguson on July 31, 1928 on the “Little Thunder Homestead”, Hilight community near Gillette Wyoming.

Dolores M. Noel, 93, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at West View Health Care Center.

Dolores was born on September 6, 1924 in Grygla, MN to parents Carl and Mollie (Grovom) Holbrook. She married her husband Robert Homer Noel.

Leora A. Diederichs, 97, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Green House Living for Sheridan.

Allan McConnell Ross, 39, passed away October 6th, 2017 in Grand Junction, Colorado from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born December 9, 1977 in Big Timber, Montana but spent most of his childhood growing up in Sheridan, Wyoming. He loved to ride his motorcycles, go fishing, spend time with family and most of all he loved to spend time with his daughters.

Chuck was born September 16, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, WA to Paul Blakeman and Vi Welter. Chuck spent the majority of his life in Wyoming. He went to school until his junior year at Sheridan High School. He then went on to work for Decker Coal Mine from 1977 – 2002. Chuck had a passion for cars. He raced stock cars from 1977 – 1978. He always said one of his favorite cars was a Mercury Chop top.
