Marylou Ann Welborn, 54, of Custer, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Saturday, February 9, 2013.

Marylou was born March 26, 1958 to Ed and Rose Grammens. She grew up in Custer on the Grammens farm and graduated from Custer High School in 1976.

She married Scott Welborn on March 26, 1976. Scott never left her side in sickness and in health. Marylou and Scott moved to the Welborn family farm north and east of Pompey’s Pillar in 1976. They were there for 22 years before moving back to Custer.

Marylou loved gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, and friend to all. She also took on cleaning houses for people along with taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her father Ed Grammens.

Marylou is survived by her mother Rose Grammens; brothers Ed (Connie) Grammens, Allen (Kim) Grammens, and Bob (Valerie) Grammens; many nieces and nephews; husband Scott Welborn; son Brian (Cretia) and their three girls, Kiersten, Mikayla, and Madison; daughter Kari (Bryan) Buller and their three children, Tyanna, Kyra, and Hunter.

Marylou’s smiling face and warm welcomes will be missed by all.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Parish. Private graveside services will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
