Graveside funeral services for Lynn Fostmeier, 90 year old Buffalo man who passed away early Saturday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center following a short illness, will be held Friday December 16th at 1:00 in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Casper with Reverend Debbie Cato officiating. Visitation will be held from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Mr. Fostmeier's memory to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Lynn Jacob Fostmeier was born on December 22, 1920 in Gilmanton, Wisconsin to Jacob and Dora Fostmeier. He grew up and went to school in Gilmanton and graduated from Gilmanton High School in 1940. After high school he joined the U.S. Army Aircorp and served in the European Theater as a pilot flying the B-24 Liberator Bomber. He was discharged in 1945 with the rank of Major and joined the Airforce Reserves. He was married in July of 1945 to Rae Adamson in Casper and they made their home in Casper where Lynn was a machinist for the Socony Mobil Refinery for many years. He later owned and operated Fairside Trailer Service in Casper until 1990 when he reitired. Mrs. Fostmeier passed away in October of 1988 and Lynn lived in Casper until 2007 when he moved to Buffalo. He had continued living in Buffalo until the time of his death.

Lynn loved the Big Horn Mountains where he backpacked, fished, hunted, snowmobiled and camped. His most enjoyable time was spent at their cabin in the Big Horns.

He is survived by one son, Gary Fostmeier and his wife Barbara of Buffalo; one daughter Peggy Chavez and her husband Herman of Casper; one sister Dorothy Haugland of St. Paul, Minnesota; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
