Funeral services for John Williams, 79 year old Sheridan, Wyoming man who passed away on Sept. 11th at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital, will be held Monday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. from the LDS Church in Sheridan with Bishop Charles Martineau officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Wyoming with a service and dedication of the grave for immediate family. Donations in Mr. Williams’ memory may be made to the Sheridan Head Start Program in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, who have been entrusted with the arrangements.

John Wesley Williams Jr. was born on March 19, 1933 in Buffalo, Wyoming to John and Florence (Kisor)Williams. He grew up and received his schooling in Buffalo Wyoming, graduating from high school in 1951. After high school he attended the University of Wyoming, graduating in 1959 with a B.S. degree in Agriculture.

He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. John was married in Casper in 1958. He was active in 4H, FFA, local agriculture groups, foster grandparents, life time member of Buffalo Post 2469 VFW and a member of the LDS church. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by one son John K. Williams and his wife Vicki of Aliso Viejo, California; one daughter Debra Hedstrom of Denver, Colorado; one sister Ella Jean Boyle of Carlsbad, California; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law Bill Boyle.
