Eyvonne Dee Burns Cotton, 89, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Westview Health Care Center. She was born the youngest of eight children on July 16, 1927, to parents Clarence Eugene and Lulu Delthana (Griffith) Burns on Squirrel Creek, Decker, MT.

Private family interment for Shirley Farris, 82 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Monday evening at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held by her family in the Highland Cemetery in Casper. Kathleen Susan Abbott, 74, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Swedish Medical Hospital in Denver, CO. She was born on April 9, 1943, in Lincoln, NE. Her parents were George Clinton and Kathleen Vera (Perry) Butcher. She married Gay Elliott Miller and they moved out to Sheridan, WY to eventually settle on the 5 Mile Flat near Parkman, WY.

Funeral services for Russell Jones, 85 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly Friday evening at his ranch home in Johnson County, will be held from the Krause Funeral Home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Pastor Janis Kinens officiating. Dorothy was born on May 4, 1921, to parents William Burke and Anna Virginia (Mull) Lynch in Marshall, MO. She married Earl William Harper on November 25, 1944 in Kansas City, MO.

David Patrick “Pat” O'Dell, 73, of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1944, in Sheridan, WY, to parents William and Leota (Cusick) O'Dell. He married Patricia Fatz on March 22, 1969. They had three children and were later divorced.

Jane Lisbeth (Lodge) Kidneigh Medved passed peacefully from this Earth on April 7, 2017, in Sheridan, Wyoming after a hard fought battle with illness.

Bonnie Jeanne Switzer, 87, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at her residence.
She was an only child, and grew up on the family homestead with her Mom and Dad, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Samuel Johnston Burris, 69, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, in an automobile accident. He was born on January 16, 1948, in Wilmington, NC, to parents L.D. and Carolina (Johnston) Burris. He married Sharon Louise Rosenlund.

James Darrell Townsend, 83, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan, WY. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Jane “Janie” Scheuerman passed away at home on March 31st, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 18, 1948, to Gardner and Eve Talbot in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her family moved to Casper, WY when she was two and she lived there her entire youth. Janie graduated from NCHS in 1966 and went on to attend Casper College.

Mark Gregory Taylor passed away April 1, 2017, after a 2 year battle with Cancer. Mark was born February 25, 1964, in Sheridan, Wyoming. He is the son of Tyrus Raymond Taylor and Fon Elizabeth (Helzer) Taylor. Mark graduated from Sheridan High School and also attended Sheridan College after completing 4 years in the US Army serving in the 97th Signal Battalion in Germany.

Mark Carlton Cole lost his bravely fought battle with AML on April 1, 2017. It consumed his body but never his spirit. Through his journey with illness he encouraged people to cherish the important things in life: family, friends, and making the most of the time we are here on earth.
