Henry E. Sickler Jr., born July 29th, 1948 to Henry and Patricia (McKelvey) Sickler in Sheridan Wyoming, passed peacefully Novemer 15th, 2019 at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions in Casper Wyoming.

Henry attended school in Sheridan, graduating from SHS in 1968. He married Mary Barnhart on July 1st, 1968 in Sheridan.

He joined the National Guard the same year, attending basic training in Fort Ord, CA.
Henry worked at the Wyo Theater as a projectionist, then went to work for the City of Sheridan in the Street Maintenance Dept., Fire Dept., and as a Water Treatment Plant Operator, retiring after nearly 40 years. During much of this time, he also owned and operated Sickler’s Upholstery, selling the business upon retiring from the Fire Dept. and then began at the Big Goose water treatment plant.

During his free time from working multiple jobs, he enjoyed fishing, camping, ATV and motorcycle riding, and building or repairing items. Mostly, he enjoyed sharing his life with his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He organized a family poker tournament for gatherings in 2005 and the game continues still, as well as playing in a poker league.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary, Children Darcy (Pat) Doherty and Andrew Sickler, brother Ed Sickler of Buffalo, sisters Mollie Kluver of Gillette, Bessie Moore and Pandy Sears of Sheridan, grandchildren Charles (Michelle) Sickler of Sheridan, Kelly Durand of Spencer Ohio, and Kristen (James) Lambsdown of Casper, and great grandchildren Radley Durand, Desi Sickler, Ambrose Light, Cecelia Elese, Molly and Gracie Lambsdown, Micheal and Ryan Little.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bobby and Johnny.

A Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm before the Service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Kane Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A light reception will then follow in the Kane Reception Hall.
