Doris L. Perry of Dayton, WY died Friday, December, 28, 2012 at Saddle Ridge Nursing Center in Sheridan, Wyoming following a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 2, 1922 in Sioux City, IA and married Magnus Rasmussen at Morris, Illinois on September 11, 1939. They moved to Hardin, MT in 1942 and then to Dayton in September of 1957. At Hardin she worked as a waitress for a few years then as a sexton along with her husband at the Hardin, MT cemetery. After moving to Dayton she worked for 15 years at the Veterans Hospital as a nursing aid and then as a file clerk.

She was a member of the Hardin Open Bible Church and the Dayton Community Church. She was a long time member of the Odd Fellows, Canton No. 5 for many years and was a past Noble Grand of that organization. Her hobbies were painting and doing volunteer work at the Tongue River Senior Citizens meal program at Dayton for many years. Doris spent many hours doing counted cross stitch work.

She was widowed in 1973 and married to F. Russell Perry in 1976. She was again widowed in 1990.

Survivors include a sister, Lois Foust of Miles City, MT, her two sons, Marvin L.

Rasmussen of Westfield, MA and Richard A. Rasmussen of Dayton, WY. Four grand daughters, six great grand children and many nieces and nephews also survive her. Her parents, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Dayton Community Church on April 9, 2013 at 10:00 am with Reverend Dennis Goodin Officiating. Inurnment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
