City Council Talks Utilities At Last Night’s Meeting

The total design costs could exceed $200,000 and the Wyoming Water Development Commission will pay two-thirds of the price tag. Sheridan Area Water Supply will pay the remainder after the State and City contributions are calculated.

The Sheridan City Council also considered an ordinance that would allow the Utilities Director to make adjustments for water customers who have a leak after the meter. Acting Utilities Director Chris Knodel says it would make giving those credits more efficient.

The new ordinance would change the language in City Code to mirror that of the sewer rate adjustments. The Council passed the ordinance on first reading; it will require two more readings before becoming law.
