Michael Rosen passed away suddenly at his home in Sheridan, WY on May 22, 2020, with his wife at his side.  Michael Rosen was born July 31, 1972, to Karen and Jeremy Rosen. Michael was raised by his parents Karen and Vince Klinkhammer when they married in 1980.  Michael married Daunita O’Brien on July 5, 1998, in Spokane, WA.  Together they raised three children:  Devyn Rosen, Calob Rosen, and Elle Willis.

Michael was a hard worker and worked in the commercial fishing industry for many years. Later he received his CDL license and saw the country driving a truck with his wife Daunita. He also had a tremendous interest in computers; he later became an IT manager.  He developed several computer programs and worked with the State of Washington on a program to help women that had been in abusive relationships.  One of his proudest achievements was receiving the Washington State’s Medallion for his work with a shelter in Spokane to help abused women develop computer skills. Michael was also invited by Google to attend one of their orientation programs. He was amazed at what they offered to their employees in benefits.

Above all else, Michael loved his family.  They were his number one priority and he made sure they knew how much he loved them. Michael was always “present” whenever he had a conversation with someone.  He had a smile that was contagious and he always made people feel that they were a priority.

Recently Michael summed up his view on life:  “Some people see change as a bad thing and I see it as an opportunity to do better, learn more, experience new things and meet new people and add another page to my life story. There is always something waiting that was put there just for you by God and you just have to go find it”.

Michael’s hobbies included coin collecting, reading, fishing, hunting, camping, and the outdoors.

Michael is survived by his wife, Daunita Rosen of 22 years.  His children Elle Willis (Josh) & special granddaughter Riley, Devin Rosen, and Calob Rosen.  His Dad Vince Klinkhammer, a sister Tina, various aunts, nieces, nephews, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Klinkhammer, and his grandparents.
