Rooted in Wyoming has announced that the Baker family at Big Horn School have been named the recipients of the organization’s Volunteer of the Year Award. The Bakers will be presented with the designation in recognition of their contributions to the Ram Harvest garden at Big Horn High School.

This award was created to annual highlight people in the community who demonstrate commitment, dedication, and exceptional volunteer service toward the non profit’s mission of building school and community gardens. Baker brothers Garrett, Chase, and Sawyer, in concert with their parents Lance and Texie as well as sister Teeka, completed three Eagle Scout projects in the garden over the 2018 and 2019 season. The group will be presented with the award at their school next month. You can view more photos of the Bakers in action below.
