Judge Rules: Sen and Bear Cloud Tried as Adults

7th Judicial District Court Judge W. Thomas Sullins of Casper ruled this week that Sheridan teenagers Dharminder Sen and Wyatt Bear Cloud, both 16, will be tried as adults for 1st Degree Murder and other charges that have been filed against them. Attorneys for both defendants had filed motions to have the cases moved to juvenile court.

Sen, Bear Cloud, and 19-year-old Dennis Poitra Jr. are each charged with first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary. The three are accused of breaking into the home of Robert and Linda Ernst on August 26th, 2009, where Sen allegedly fatally shot Robert Ernst two times.

Poitra's trial date has been set for August 30th, 2010. And while 4th Judicial District Judge John Fenn had earlier this year tentatively scheduled trial dates for Sen and Bear Cloud, definite dates are still to be set. All three teens remain incarcerated in the Sheridan County Detention Center on $200,000 bond.

If they wanted to pull off an adult crime then they should have been treated as adults from the very beginning! Finally the family will get some sort of justice...It's about time!
