Yellowstone South Entrance Undergoes Temporary Road Closure Due to Berry Fire

Posted in

The south entrance of Yellowstone National Park is closed due to the Berry fire in Grand Teton National Park. The road is not expected to reopen for several days and it is not possible to exit the south entrance of Yellowstone to GRTE at this time.

All other entrances to Yellowstone remain open at this time; this includes the East Entrance, Northeast Entrance (Cooke City), North Entrance (Gardiner), and West Entrance (West Yellowstone).

Currently all roads within Yellowstone National Park are open with the exception of the South entrance. All park facilities including park concession-operated services and businesses in surrounding communities are not impacted by the fires and remain open.
