Wyoming's Juvenile Detention Facilities, Or Lack Thereof, Continue to Draw Scrutiny

Wyoming's Juvenile Justice Program is the only program in the country that is not in compliance with the federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act, which means the state is does not have full control of how federal money can be spent throughout Wyoming.

State Representative Jack Landon says that not having a seperate facility for minors that have not committed serious offenses is something that needs to be changed.

Landon said that state legislators will continue to work on the issue and that hopefully some kind of solution can be reached soon.
