Wyoming Senior Olympics Open in Sheridan This Week

The 2016 Wyoming Senior Olympics gets underway in Sheridan Wednesday with an athlete check-in from noon to 6 pm at the Sheridan YMCA. A full day of events begin Thursday, culminating with the Opening Ceremonies from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at Kendrick Park in Sheridan. One of the organizers for the event, Roger Wilson, said that athletes from all over the country will be here for the games.

Wilson said there are 23 different sports and over 100 different events. He invites people to come out and cheer the athletes on at Thursday’s Parade of Athletes at the Opening Ceremonies.
