Wyoming Roofing Takes Grand Prize

Wyoming Roofing LLC was named winner of the grand prize in this year's Sheridan-WYO Rodeo parade.

Theme of this year's parade was “The Star-Spangled Rodeo,” and Parade Chair Linda St. Clair said there were more than 100 entries.

Other winners included First Interstate Bank, first in comercial entries, followed by Heartland Kubota, second, and M&M Center, Sheridan on Skates, third. Honorable mention went to Olson's Pest Technicians “Rat Patrol.”

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandies took first in mounted unit groups, followed by the 3 Generation Freedom Riders, and the parade grand marshals, the U.S. Army Generals Mounted Color Guard, took third place. In the light harness division, CHAPS took first place with “Star Spangled CHAPS,” followed by Concept Z Home & Property, second, and the University of Wyoming/Sheridan Research & Extension Center.

Koltiska Distillery 2, one of three Koltiska entries, was first in heavy harness, followed by Champion Funeral Home. The Kalif Horse Patrol, with a heavy harness wagon and 10 or 12 people on horseback, was third in that division.

The Sheridan Jaycees won the community groups division. Antelope Butte Foundation was first in the tax exempt division, followed by First Light Education, second, and RENEW, third. Cub Scouts Pack 385 was first in youth organizations, followed by Cloud Peak Volleyball, second, and Elks Youth Rodeo, third. The Sheridan County Rodeo Band was first in marching bands, followed by the Drum & Bugle Corp Color Guard and Marching Band.

Rich Urbatchka took first in novelty, individual, on his penny-farthing bicycle. First People's Pow Wow took first in novelty groups, followed by 2 Horse Power Ranch, second, and Old Time Pullers, third.

Century 21/BHJ was sponsor of the parade again this year.
