Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp Escapee Apprehended in Casper

Wyoming Department of Corrections issued a media release stating that the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp inmate who escaped while on work-detail in Douglas last Friday has been apprehended in Casper without incident.

40-year-old Derrick Lee Brock, who was serving seven to ten years for larceny, was arrested Wednesday evening in Casper by Casper police and Natrona County Sheriffs deputies.

Brock was booked into the Natrona County Detention Center Wednesday night, where he will await a preliminary hearing on escape charges.

Brock escaped Friday, September 23rd while on work-detail at the State Fairgrounds in Douglas. He was sentenced in 2011, and was a minimum security prisoner.
