The president and CEO of Weatherby Inc. told a group of Rotarians Thursday that Wyoming feels like home.

Adam Weatherby talked about his feelings for Sheridan at the Rotary Club's luncheon.

Weatherby said Sheridan stood head and shoulders above the other Wyoming communities the company considered for its move from California. He said the company was founded by his grandfather, Roy Weatherby, in 1945. He said his grandfather was born in Kansas in 1910.

Weatherby also talked about the company vision, which is to inspire the dreams of hunters and shooters, and said the company supports behaving professionally with passion, teamwork and integrity.

He said not all of the company's workforce will be moving to Sheridan, and the company will be hiring a lot of people locally. Weatherby said the long-term goal of Weatherby is to be an integral part of Sheridan.
