Wyoming Cowboys Staying in Hotels Before Home Games

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming coach Dave Christensen is having his players stay in hotels the night before all home games this season in hopes of focusing his team on the next day's game in Laramie.

Last Friday night, the Cowboys spent the night at the Hilton Garden Inn at Laramie. On Saturday, the team walked from the hotel to the Rochelle Athletics Center to prepare of the game against Weber State. The only game the Cowboys won't be staying at the Hilton is this
weekend's Texas game. Texas booked the Hilton, so the Cowboys will
stay in Cheyenne at Little America.

The cost of the Friday night hotel stays is close to $20,000 for the six home games in 2009. Christensen says the idea is to control anything that might distract the players.
