WY Author Wins Another Top Honor: One of ‘Best Reads’ in Nation

“I’ve heard that before” is a chapter from Eugene Gagliano's kids’ poetry book, “Is That True?” The book, with a sequel underway, is one of America’s 52 Best Reads for 2018:

Gagliano has ‘heard that before’ about his poetry since moving from the east coast to the Wyoming west. His adult anthology, “Prairie Parcels”, moved Governor Matt Mead to select him as Wyoming’s 8th Poet Laureate in 2016.

As the current Poet Laureatte, Gagliano travels the state to promote reading and writing:

This weekend, local writers group RangeWriters listened and learned from the author on revising skills.

Gagliano, a retired rural elementary school teacher, has his own revision work underway:

Rose Hill, Wyoming’s 7th Poet Laureate, helped to bring the top author to Fulmer Public Library for the group’s monthly meeting.
