Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took the New Hampshire primary Tuesday with 39 percent of the vote. Since he began his career as a journalist, Ronald Scott has followed Romney.

Scott recently released a book “Mitt Romney, An Inside Look at the Man and His Politics”. Scott appeared on Public Pulse Tuesday and told us what he thought a win in New Hampshire would mean for Romney going forward.

Before that though, Romney must get through the South Carolina primary. While Romney's win in New Hampshire was decisive, experts say that he could experience his first real consistent-criticism in the south, in terms of televised political advertisements on the Bain Capital issue.

Ron Paul was second in New Hampshire with 23 percent of the vote. Jon Huntsman received 17 percent, and Gingrich had 9 percent. The South Carolina primary is on Tuesday, January 21. Super Tuesday is on March 6.

Ronald Scott has written on the Romney family since he wrote several pieces about Mitt Romney's father for the Salt Lake Tribune in the late 60s
