With Weatherby moving to Sheridan, and Vacutech and Kennon Products expanding in the near future, Staff with the City of Sheridan, along with members of the Sheridan City Council have begun taking a look at ways to make workforce/affordable housing a reality in Sheridan.

City Administrator Mark Collins said that they’ve reached out to key stakeholders to begin discussions on just what the next steps in the process should be.

Collins said that six members of the local workforce housing working group will be attending a seminar in September in Lander that is fully funded by Community Builders Consultants.

Collins said that the Community Builders Leadership Institute will take place September 26 through the 28 in Lander.
