Tuesday's Sheridan City Council budget work session was an opportunity for nine different local non-profits to explain their requests for Optional One Cent funds. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that the Council has some tough decisions to make about the budget requests.

The City is projecting that the Optional One Cent sales tax will collect about $3.6 million for the upcoming fiscal year, which is down from the $4.1 million collected during fiscal year 2009-2010.
