Working smarter not harder was the theme of Thursday's Sheridan City Council work session that dealt with the City's Solid Waste Division. New equipment has been instrumental in cutting down man hours and increasing production says City Solid Waste Manager Charles Martineau.
While still fairly new, the City's recycle program has been received very well throughout the community.
Martineau said that the City of Sheridan has a 30% recycle rate, which is nearly double the rate of most other cities around the state that have a recycle program.
