Woman Who Brought Alcohol Into Detention Center Receives Jail Time

A woman who used to work in the Sheridan County Detention Center will get to spend more time there after appearing in 4th Judicial District Court this week. 48-year-old Pamela Condos pled guilty to charges of bringing alcohol into the jail earlier this year. The plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors and a sentencing hearing was scheduled for last July. Condos failed to appear in court at that time and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. Over 4 months later Condos appeared before Judge John Fenn this week. Despite concerns over her missing the original sentencing, the court agreed to the plea arrangement and Condos was sentenced to one and a half to three years in prison. The court suspended the prison time and Condos will have to spend 45 days in the county jail followed by 3 years of probation.

Also in District Court, a Sheridan teenager pled guilty to 5 counts of burglary in connection with the recent break-in’s at the Sport Stop and Metz Beverage in Sheridan. 19-year-old James Allen entered his pleas during and arraignment earlier this week. Allen admitted to committing the thefts at both locations with two underage accomplices. Judge Fenn ordered a presentence investigation and Allen is due to be sentenced next month. He could face up to 50 years in prison for the crimes.
