Wild & Scenic Film Festival Tonight

The Powder River Basin Resource Council is hosting the Wild and Scenic Film Festival today at Centennial Theatre at 4:30 and 7: 15 tonight. There will be a selection of foreign and domestic independent films focused on environmental issues.

Bill Bensel explains the films to be shown went through a lengthy selection process via the Nevada City, CA film festival before being selected for Sheridan's big screen.

The aim of the festival is to raise public awareness regarding the energy industry's impact on air and ground water. One film features Wyoming specifically; Bensel explains the setup for the film, "Chasing Water."

Tickets are $10 for both shows, and are available at the Centennial Theatre box office. There will also be prize drawings and giveaways for ticket holders. Previews for films can be found here.
