This Week's Poll Quetion

Wyoming legislators are considering a bill to add a one percent tax at hotels, restaurants, and bars and other leisure and hospitality establishments to bolster funds at the State Tourism Office which spends millions around the world promoting our tourist attractions.

Currently, tourism monies come out of Wyoming’s general fund and adding a one percent tax could provide a stable source of funding for the tourism office and not the state’s shrinking general fund.

This week’s First Northern Bank/Sheridan Media Poll Question asks: “Do you think a new 1 percent tax on hotels, restaurants and bars to fund Wyoming’s tourism promotion is a good idea?”
