Johnson County Fair Weekend Previewed

Friday is Youth Rodeo Day at the Johnson County Fair. The day starts at 9am in the arena. Coming up at 10 is the Pie Contest in the Hospitality Tent. A stick horse race is set for 3 in the afternoon, followed by the FFA Round Robin event at 4 and YES Awards and Bar Branding at 4:30. The remaining rodeo slack event will get underway at 6 tonight and the fair day will wrap with a dance in Prosinski Park from 8 to 11.

Saturday is parade and rodeo day at the Johnson County Fair. The Fair and Rodeo Parade will begin at 10 in the morning with roughly 70 entries interpreting this year's theme of “We're Farmers And We Grow It.” The Parade Of Champions will begin at 12:30 in the arena, and the rodeo itself will start at 1. Then at 7 that evening, the Junior Livestock Sale will wrap the day.

Sunday's events start at 1 in the afternoon with the rodeo finals and a free concert and awards presentation afterward to end this year's Johnson County Fair and Rodeo.
