Among the highlights of the annual Dayton Days was the Water Fight sponsored by the town's fire department in Scott Bicentennial Park.

Firefighter Ryan Alley said the event has been part of the celebration for at least 20 years, possibly more.

Teams of adults and youngsters compete, and there are prizes for the winners.

Dayton Days started Friday with the annual Cow Pie Classic and barbecue at the IXL Ranch, and a pet parade for children in the park. Also Friday, Movies in the Park started at dusk.

Saturday started with the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, and was followed by the 10th annual Dayton Days Mile Race and parade on Main Street before moving to the park for booths, food and more fun.

Events included duck races, a horseshoe tournament and volleyball tournament in addition to the water fight. A disc golf tournament is scheduled for Sunday.
