Water Board Approves Contracts for Projects

Contracts for two projects were approved by the Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board at their monthly meeting Wednesday. A contract not to exceed $61,640 was awarded to OMP Engineering Inc. of Sheridan for design, bidding, contract management, construction support and commission of SAWS booster station SCADA project. SAWS Project Manager Dan Coughlin talks about how the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, or SCADA system will be a an upgrade to what is currently being used.

The board also awarded a contract not to exceed $90,000 to DOWL Engineering of Sheridan for the design, bidding, and construction administration for the pressure reducing and pressure relief valve project. Coughlin said that most of the valves are over 20 years old and are in need of replacement.
