Sheridan resident Shawn Osborne was convicted of 1st Degree Murder in November last year.

Both attorneys in the Shawn Osborne case continue to to wait for the transcript of last month's motion hearing on a new trial. Osborne was convicted of the 1st Degree Murder of Gerald Bloom by a jury of his peers last November. Sheridan County Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for the State, Matt Redle says that it may take some time even after the transcript is finished.

After being found guilty last November, Osborne hired Attorney Keith Goody from Washington State. After reviewing the transcript of the trial, Goody filed a motion for a new trial citing ineffective assistance of counsel. Osborne was represented at trial by Public Defender Robert Jones.
