Wagner Joins Dayton Council

Dennis Wagner was sworn into office on Dayton's Town Council in a special meeting of the council Wednesday night.

The council interviewed four applicants for the position before voting to appoint Wagner. Mayor Norm Anderson said there were a lot of good candidates to choose from.

Anderson said Wagner has prior council experience, having served from 2011 to 2014 before giving up his council seat in a bid for Dayton mayor.

Wagner also ran for the council in the last municipal election, and lost by only one vote. Wagner will finish the term of Councilman Eric Lofgren, who resigned due to health reasons.
