Voter Turnout Numbers

Posted in

Secretary of State Max Maxfield released preliminary figures that show that 65 percent of registered voters in Wyoming took to the polls during Tuesday's General Election. State Election Director Peggy Nighswonger explains why it will take at least several weeks before they have a concrete number on how many in the state cast ballots in the election.

Nighswonger said that it appears that there won't have to be any recounts throughout the state.

The release from the Secretary of State's Office also indicated that none of the write-in candidates for state offices received more votes than candidates whose names were printed on the ballot.
