Volunteers Of America Finding New Ways To Cope With Poor Economy

At a time when many businesses and non-profit organizations are tightening their belts, one local non-profit is expanding. Volunteers of America Wyoming and Montana will open it’s Catering for a Cause program next Tuesday. Community Affairs Director PJ Treide (TRY-dee) says clients across several programs may benefit from the new venture.

Catering for a Cause will offer take-home dinners next week and they plan to expand into lunches and event catering by next spring. If the program is successful, it could benefit current VOA programs, as well.

All the food will be purchased specifically for the program and will not come from stores donated to other VOA projects. Anyone wishing to use the service will have to place their order at least a day in advance.

VOA...a bunch of hypocrites

They are cutting programs left and right while the top officials in the organization receive huge pay increases, bonuses and other perks. What a bunch of crooks!
