VOA's Quarterly Report To Johnson County

VOA's Quarterly Report To Johnson County

Volunteers Of America (VOA) gave their quarterly report to the Johnson County Commissioners at their meeting this week, discussing numbers of individuals in their treatment and probation programs.

Scott Duncan and Susan Arnold, with VOA, gave a written report to the commissioners, who noticed a downward trend from January to now in the numbers of clients in diversion, with nine in January, eight in February and seven in March.

Duncan explained that they are not seeing the same number of referrals now as they have in the past for the diversion program. Clients on probation and those involved in treatment court have remained steady through the first quarter of 2015.

Overall for the quarter, there were 24 diversion clients; seven on probation; and 16 in treatment court.

Overall, VOA had 304 contacts with clients during the quarter.

Also discussed were the contracts for this coming year between the county and VOA, which are in the process of being reviewed.
They will be addressed later this summer.
