VOA Hosting This Year's Turkey Trot

Those in Sheridan looking for some morning exercise before a day of eating can attend the 31st annual Turkey Trot in Kendrick Park on Thanksgiving Day.

VOA Northern Rockies is this year's host, and all donations will benefit the Sheridan Community Shelter. The race features a 5 kilometer/2.8-mile run, equal to four laps around the park. There's also a 1-mile race for kids.

Race entry fee is one large can of food, three small cans of food or a $10 donation.

Registration will begin at 8:45 am with the race scheduled for 10. Preregister at the Sports Stop, Foot of the Big Horns or the Volunteers of America Administrative Office.

Catering for a Cause will be giving away several pies, and top winners will get turkeys from Safeway.
