VOA Gives Quarterly Report to Johnson County

Scott Duncan, with Volunteers of America, gave the latest quarterly report to the Johnson County Commissioners at a recent meeting, saying numbers of those involved in their juvenile justice and probation services they provide the county are remaining high.

He touched on numbers for the quarter, saying 32 clients were on diversion the third quarter of 2014. Nine were on probation and 14 were involved in treatment court.
According to his report, there were 323 UA's or (urine analyses) during the quarter with 25 coming back positive.

He discussed the UA's with the commissioners further, and explained the consequences they clients can face.

The commissioners asked Duncan how the program was sitting as far as available bed days for juveniles to be held at the group home in Sheridan when necessary.
Duncan's report showed 11 used in the quarter ending in September, but he did say “quite a few” were used last month.
That specific information will be in his next quarterly report.
